About Me
I believe farming is the most important and undervalued job in our society.
My life and career have been shaped by engaging with farmers that carefully steward their land and work tirelessly to grow high-quality products that nourish our bodies and create some of our most beloved treats (Chocolate! Coffee! Mezcal!). I deeply understand the complexities of agricultural production and international supply chains. I’ve conducted field interviews with farmers and cooperatives across the world, from California to Guatemala, Ghana, and Ethiopia, gaining firsthand insights into the realities of global supply chains.
In my experience, well-designed plans (whether it be a business plan, project design or organization-wide strategy) are a crucial first step in driving transformation on the ground. I’ve written 45+ project designs for supply chain development programs in sectors like dairy, cocoa, coffee, cashew, shea, grains, and horticulture. These programs have supported hundreds of thousands of smallholder farmers and entrepreneurs to adopt regenerative practices, improve their businesses and increase their revenues.
I am a highly collaborative leader who brings a sense of calm and clarity, even under the tightest deadlines or most complex situations. I thrive working across timezones, languages and cultures.
I have seen the injustices in our food system as well as the incredible outcomes possible when farmers are supported to steward their land and achieve fair economic returns for doing so. I look forward to working with you to make an impact in your corner of our food and ag system!
